This week's Good Facility is a standard, two-metre-wide cycleway, as typically found as part of main roads in Amsterdam.
The main road itself is only two lanes wide, but the cycleway is well separated from it by trees, a verge, and parking bays, meaning that cycling is a comfortable and pleasant experience.
The design of the cycleway also means that three abreast cycling is possible, allowing people to overtake those cycling socially, side-by-side. The kerbs on each side are either flush, or low enough to allow cycling right on the edge of the cycleway.
The cycleway itself is surfaced with smooth, distinctive red asphalt.
