Good Cycling Facility of the Week: 3rd August 2017

This week's Good Facility is a bi-directional cycleway in the Dutch city of Delft, connecting the city's university and the city centre.

The path is not especially wide. However it is very well-designed, with low, angled forgiving kerbing on either side, allowing the full width of the cycleway to be used by anyone cycling. While perhaps only just over 3m wide, the cycleway can still accommodate side-by-side cycling in both directions.

There is a clearly separated footway, and drainage is built into the kerbs of the cycleway.
