This week's Good Facility is a wide bi-directional cycleway in North Amsterdam.
This path leads directly the ferry terminal, connecting North Amsterdam to the city to the south of the Ij river (the ferry is free, and frequent). Amsterdam Centraal railway station is visible in the background, across the river.
The path is five metres wide to accommodate the large dispersing flows of cycles coming off the ferry. It is separated from the road with a hedgerow, and there is a separate footway for pedestrians.
