Good Cycling Facility of the Week: 29th June 2017

This week's Good Facility is an example of side road design in the Dutch city of Arnhem. 

Both the cycleway and the footway extend continuously across the entrance to this residential street, making it clear to drivers (and to people walking and cycling) who has priority. 

The footway and the cycleway both continue at the same raised level, while drivers have to negotiate a hump to enter and exit the side street. Simple, straightforward design, done well!
