Good Cycling Facility of the Week: 28th March 2019

This week's Good Cycling Faciltiy is a wide bi-directional cycleway, passing behind a petrol station on the outskirts of Utrecht.

This arrangement means that people cycling do not come into any conflict with motor vehicles entering and leaving the petrol station.

This cycleway has its own dedicated street lighting, and is mirrored by an identical bi-directional cycleway on the other side of the road. Large roads such as this one - which present severance issues should have these kinds of cycleways on both sides to facilitate local journeys.
