Good Cycling Facility of the Week: 25th April 2018

This week's Good Facility is a 'standard' Dutch roundabout with perimeter cycleway, with priority for cycling, in the city of Nijmegen.

Priority for cycling is reinforced by the clarity of the road markings, and with zebra crossings for pedestrians running in parallel.

The annular ring of the cycleway is set back from the roundabout, ensuring that the crossing point is perpendicular, and also that motor traffic has space to wait either entering or exiting the roundabout.
