This week's Good Cycling Facility is a cycle street in the Dutch city of Delft.
As with all high-quality cycle streets (or fietsstraats), this street has a very high volume of cycle traffic, and a very low volume of motor traffic. Although motor vehicles can be driven along this street (parking can be seen in this photograph), it is not a through-route for motor traffic, and is in fact a dead-end for motor vehicles at the point the photograph is taken. This means it is a safe and comfortable environment to cycle in.
The street has been newly surfaced with smooth red asphalt, for a comfortable ride, and to reinforce that this is a cycle route.
