This week's Good Facility is a straightforward cycle crossing at a large junction on the outskirts of the Dutch city of Nijmegen.
Two important elements of this crossing are worth noting. Firstly, people walking and cycling are clearly separated, with their own crossings and signals. These modes travel at different speeds and it is important they are not lumped together.
Secondly the crossing is straight and direct, crossed in one movement - no pausing in the middle, no island with a stagger. Eight lanes are crossed in one go, including a double bus lane on the far side.
