Once the new Weymouth relief road is opened it will leave much of the current main route from Weymouth to Dorchester (the Dorchester Road bit of the A354) with about a tenth of its current traffic. I’ve just come across the detailed proposals for what’s going to happen to it. The consultation apparently ended last November, but it doesn’t look as if the amendments based on the consultation are available yet.
