South Yorkshire Integrated Transport Authority

‘The South Yorkshire LTP Partnership (Barnsley MBC, Doncaster MBC, Rotherham MBC, Sheffield CC and the South Yorkshire PTE), in conjunction with the Sheffield City Region (SCR) Partners are currently developing the Sheffield City Region Transport Strategy / LTP3. This will cover the period from 2011 to 2026.
The Transport Plan will set out how ‘transport’ will help deliver the wider vision of the Sheffield City Region. This will be undertaken by delivering against 4 key transport goals
•To support the economic growth of SCR
•To enhance social inclusion and health
•To reduce emissions from vehicles
•To make transport increasingly safe and secure
Once completed and endorsed, the final transport strategy will be published in April 2011.’
